Drinking in Black Tea Antioxidant

Everyone tells you that you should eat your fruits and vegetables. They are good for you certainly, but now it has been revealed that you can drink in just as much benefits from black tea antioxidant. While fruits and vegetables contain important antioxidants it has been found that levels of black tea antioxidant are much higher in a cup of tea as compared to daily servings of fruit and vegetables.

Many people tout green tea as the go to tea when you are looking for a good source of antioxidants, however experts say that any tea is a good source of antioxidants and black tea antioxidants are just as good for you.

Black Tea is Just as Good

All teas are made from the same type of tea leaves. What makes the teas different in terms of taste is the processing that the leaves go through. Black tea leaves are crushed and fermented. This processing gives it a distinctive taste and look. You might already be addicted to this wonderful taste and reluctant to switch to green tea.

There is absolutely no reason for you to switch to green tea, drinking black tea will provide you with black tea antioxidant. Even if the amount of antioxidants in black tea are less than the antioxidants found in green tea you will still be getting a concentrated amount of black tea antioxidant.

When you drink a cup of tea, you will get about eight to ten times more polyphenols than you would from eating the average portions of fruit and vegetable. So despite other teas such as white tea boasting a higher level of white tea antioxidants, you can still be assured of getting plenty of antioxidant with regular old black tea.

In the Eastern part of the world, like China and Japan, tea drinking has been considered essential to good health. This idea seems to be backed up by low levels of cancer and heart disease. Drinking tea daily will help you prevent plenty of diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and will even help you to look younger.

Basically what tea does is filter out the toxins in your system. Many of the toxins and free radicals that we are exposed to are unavoidable. Pollution and second hand smoke are two sources of free radicals that are almost impossible to control. So indulge in a cup or two of tea everyday. Not only will it relax you but it will keep you feeling healthy.
