Finding the Best Baby Bedding
Before I go any further, I would like to bring up a point that many parents overlook. Crib bedding (especially girls crib bedding!) is adorable and can seem like a vital necessity. Just keep in mind that baby bedding has been the cause of crib suffocation for some infants. A firm mattress and tight-fitting sheets should be used to help prevent an accident in the crib.
When your baby is sleeping, be sure to keep the crib clear of stuffed animals, pillows, and even blankets. In cold weather, dress your infant in a sleep sack or warm clothes, but do not use a blanket.
Bedding sets are the way to go for most parents – it makes choosing the bedding much simpler. Choosing baby bedding is made more difficult because of the vast range of themes you can find – everything from pure white bedding to
Paisley Park 4 piece bedding sets. With so many choices, you should be able to find any theme you want.
You need to have an idea of what you want when you’re looking for nursery bedding. Have you picked a particular theme? Are you planning on a bassinet or cradle instead of a crib? Will your bedding clash with the wall color? Even before you start looking for bedding, you should already know the answers to these questions.
The Internet is a wonderful place for finding just the right baby bedding. Shop around at various websites and you’ll see an amazing selection to choose from. Be sure to compare prices and look for deals, because decorating a nursery is not cheap.
Department stores usually do not offer better prices than online, even though many people think otherwise. If you’re uncertain, just go to a local store and check their prices – I bet you’ll find they’re much higher than what you’ve seen online.

Because of the risk of SIDS, a sleep sack is your best option for safe sleeping. It eliminates the need for cot blankets, so baby won’t be able to wriggle around as much and risk having fabrics ride up on her face which is a potential SIDS danger. Make sure you choose one that is made of natural fabrics so that baby’s temperature is naturally regulated. I personally suggest Merino Kids – http://www.babysleepbags.com as they can be used for two years at a time before upsizing to a bigger bag.
