Having Twins - Is It Really So Hard?
Instead of congratulating them immediately, people seem to be worried about the work the parents expecting twins will have after birth.
But is it really so hard? In this article I will try to answer that question.
Having twins is not easy in the first days, but having a single child is not easy also, especially if he or she is your first baby. The key point is to keep everything organized, writing down who eat at what hour, the time you changed diapers to each one, and other things you consider important.
In the case of twins, there is no option for the father. He has to help. It is impossible for the woman to survive feeding, changing diapers, and play with them alone. The father needs to help in some or all those tasks.
But with this two aspects covered, having twins should be a wonderful experience.
Twins are not always synonym of more work. Many times parents with kids of different age have more work.
First, if you have two kids of different ages, you will have problems to sleep in two different periods of your life.
Also, when they grow up, they will have different interests and activities. Twins will like similar activities, and can share most of the friends. When you go to the doctor, you can take them together to the same doctor at the same time, because the examinations will be the same.
Another item to consider is money. At first, you may think that twins represent much more money than single kids, but that is not always true.
Of course, at first you will have to buy two items of everything, strollers, beds, cribs, as time passes you will realize that you can save money. There are lots of places where you can receive a discount if you buy for twins; you celebrate both birthdays on the same day and place, saving a lot of money.
Growing twins can be difficult, but is a wonderful experience that you will love. Just being organized and having enough help are the requirements to be able to enjoy it.
